No surprises

Here's exactly what happens when you call Drainr

Six straightforward steps from your first call to a working drain. We tell you what we find, explain your options and only proceed when you say so.

The process

Step by step

Every job follows the same clear process β€” no surprises, no hidden fees, no work without approval.

1
πŸ“ž

You call or book online

Tell us your suburb, what fixtures are affected, whether there's overflow, and how long it's been happening. The more detail you give, the better equipped we arrive. Same-day attendance is available for urgent blocked drains and overflows.

2
🚐

We confirm and arrive

We confirm the earliest available time and arrive with the right equipment. For blocked drains, that means high-pressure jetting and root cutting gear. For relining assessments, we bring CCTV camera equipment as standard.

3
πŸ“Ή

We diagnose the problem

We inspect the affected drain or sewer line β€” visually and with CCTV camera where the cause is unclear or the pipe might need structural repair. We explain exactly what we find before recommending anything.

4
πŸ’¬

We give you clear options and pricing

Standard blocked drain clears are fixed price ($449). Pipe relining and structural work is quoted by scope after inspection. No work proceeds without your approval. We explain the options and let you decide.

5
πŸ”§

We fix it

Once you approve the scope, we carry out the work. For blocked drains, most jobs are resolved in a single visit. For pipe relining, the process takes a few hours and the drain is back in use the same day in most cases.

We explain the result and leave it tidy

Before we leave, we confirm the drain is clear and flowing properly. For relining work, we carry out a post-installation CCTV check to verify the liner. We explain the result, provide warranty documentation and leave the site clean.

FAQ

Process questions

The most common questions about how we work.

Do I need to be home when you arrive?
Yes, someone needs to be on site to provide access and approve pricing before any work starts.
How long does a blocked drain clear take?
Most standard residential blocked drain clears take between 45 minutes and 90 minutes on site, depending on the blockage type and access.
What if the blockage comes back?
If a drain we've cleared blocks again quickly, there is usually a structural cause β€” roots or a cracked pipe. We return to investigate and will recommend CCTV inspection if we haven't already run one.
How long does pipe relining take?
A typical residential pipe relining job takes 3–5 hours on site from start to final CCTV verification. Larger or more complex scopes may take longer.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. We don't charge a call-out fee. The fixed price includes travel, labour and equipment for standard blocked drain clearing.
